WHAT PEOPLE DO OVER WINTER BREAK

Over winter break I hangout with my friends, play sports, and sleep most of the day. I always look forward for hanging with my friends, because I enjoy the sleep-overs we have and the long serious talks. Over time my friends family becomes my own; we all become very close. On this topic I interviewed five different types of people:

• black
• white
• mexican
• mixed

Lately I've realized how many people are involved or enjoy the same activities. Over winter break , all of my five interviewees said that they only travel far for holidays. This means on other days there around there home town doing stuff. Most people hangout with their friends over there family. The people i interview said that there not that close to there family... plus its boring at home. Most people over break do:

• watch t.v
• play video games
• and/or hangout with friends

Lately one of my interviewees told me that their parent told them .... "winter break is time off of school to celebrate the holidays with you family." And she responded that they don't understand why many of us students hangout with our friends," so I asked some more interviewers. I was told that there friends are there family, and their friends family are another part of their family to. Now in my own personal experience, i agree with the responses of the students i interviewed. For example one interviewer said there never at home during the weekend, and when they are home they never spend time with their family, so what's the difference of being home or not. Winter break is time for us students to have fun and explore. The holidays are the family events not the whole winter break. So from this day forward when people ask me what "we" kids do over break, i say "we enjoy our selfs."

What people do over Winter Break

1)Do You travel far over break?
- out of the 5 people i interviewed, they all said that it depends if its a holiday break or not.

2) Do you hangout with friends or family?
- all five of my interviewees said that they hangout with both friends and family. On christmas is the only time their hanging out with family.

3) Sleepovers?
- 2 interviewees said they don't have sleepover but they have chill nights and the other three said they go to sleepovers.

4) What's your favorite hobby to do on break?
- all of my interviewees said they play video games and watch television.

5) Where do you go over break?
- three of my interviewees said they usually stay at home and 2 travel out of state if its the holidays.
